Domestic light / commercial oil firing system installation course and assessment with energy efficiency module.

A 2 day training and assessment course for the experienced installer who want to become OFTEC registered as installation technicians. It covers the regulations and the standards that apply to the oil fired installations and installations practice. The OFTEC registration is as a Domestic Light / Commercial Oil Firing Systems Installer Technician.

The Training Objectives

Safety requirements - Types of oil firing and cooking equipment - oil storage (less than 3500liters) Fuel Feed-Pipe-work-Flueing and Ventilation-Boiler changeover - Heating System Design including L1_Thermostatic Controls - Insulation - Advanced Energy Efficiency.

Assessment Only

A 1 day OFTEC assessment. For experienced technicians the assessment can be taken without the training.

Certification

On successful completion of the assessment, a certificate of competence is issued by the certification body (Zurich). This then enables the Technician to apply for OFTEC registration.
