Oil Tanker Delivery Drivers

This course is only available for drivers with an ADR certificate working as delivery drivers

The course covers health and safety in relation to oil and tanker deliveries.  The practical assessment covers the filling and the use of alarms and bunded alarms.  Control mechanisms and pumping systems are included in the practical assessment. This course is intended to become a mandatory requirement for all tanker delivery drivers.

Safety requirements-Codes off Practice – Building Regulations and Planning consent-Types of oil and their identification-Steel and Thermoplastic oil storage (more than 3500litres)-Constructional Standards-Tank Fittings- Fuel Feed Pipe-work- System Design including L1-Thermostatic Controls –Gauges and overfill Alarm-Contamination Problems-Maintenance.
